  • 10am – 5pm
  • Booking is essential (even if you are an Unlimited Pass Holder or Friends of Beamish Member)
  • £7.75 – per adult, £7.75 – per child (aged 6-16 years). Under 5s are free. Unlimited Pass Holders & Friends of Beamish Members are free.
  • Workshops incur an additional cost and need to be booked in advance on the website (Pass Holders & Members will be charged for workshops). Accompanying adult is admitted free to the workshops.
  • Parental supervision is required throughout the activities.
  • There will also be free drop in activities on the day. More information available on the website nearer the time of each home education day.
  • Beamish is a large open air museum which brings the history of the North East of England to life. It has an 1820s Pockerley, a 1900s Town, a 1900s Pit Village, a 1940s Farm, a 1950s Town and 1950s Spain’s Field Farm exhibit areas. You will meet costumed folk who tell stories about life during these periods. The museum also has replicated buildings from different eras which you can go inside and explore.
  • On Home Educator Days the museum does not take bookings from other educational institutions. The museum is still open to other visitors and organised coach parties.
  • There will be What’s On sheets available on the day at the main entrance , which gives you information about where and when different activities are on.
